2009 Annual Training Conference
|
|
The 2009 NCARF Annual Training Conference will be held in Winston-Salem September 30 - October 2. The Hawthorne Inn has been selected to host this event. More information about overnight accommodations will be released once the contract is finalized.
Please Save the Date for this valuable training and networking opportunity. The agenda is packed with fun activities starting with an NCARF Golf Tournament! The conference will also include the Annual Awards Luncheon, Membership Meeting and evening social.

"City of the Arts"
The Hawthorne Inn and Conference Center is located in the neighborhood of Old Salem/Brookstown/Salem Academy & College. Step into Winston-Salem's past as you stroll down the streets of historic Old Salem. Look north to downtown to remind yourself that more than 200 years have passed since the settlement of this area.
Town of Salem was founded in 1766 by the Moravians - a Protestant faith that began in what is now known as the Czech Republic. The Moravians were missionaries who established an earlier settlement in Bethlehem, PA before beginning "Wachovia" in the North Carolina backcountry in 1753. In the Wachovia Tract of nearly 100,000 acres, Salem was the central administrative, spiritual, craft, and professional town surrounded by outlying congregations.
From the tavern keeper to the doctor, the Gunsmith to the boys' schoolteacher, every person in Salem played a vital role. Today, visitors can interact with costumed staff members through engaging conversation and by participating in hands-on activities. Activities throughout the year include intricate paper cutting (called scherenschnitte), pottery, sewing, writing with quill pens, fireplace cooking, painting, and much more.

2009/2010 NCARF Membership Incentive
|
NCARF Leadership would like to give back to membership during this economic downturn by initiating an incentive to all members who renew their membership with NCARF this year. Once all membership dues have been collected, your organization will receive a "stimulus rebate check" reflecting approximately 25% of your dues paid from the previous year.
2009/2010 NCARF Membership Renewal Invoices have been emailed and mailed. Please complete and return the application by August 31, 2009 to maintain your membership!
During this economic situation it is vital we ban together and partner with NCARF.
